Case of the Mondays.

Another Monday has come and gone. Does anyone else think we all deserve an "I Survived this Monday" tshirt? Preferably slouchy, off the shoulder, and can be worn over leggings.

The ironic thing is that as much as I love to hate Mondays, they always seem to be the day that I get the most done. Sunday is almost like the refresh button of the week. It's the day you get your house cleaned, laundry washed, and mentally prepare yourself for the end all-be all of your awesome weekend: Monday.

9AM Monday rolls around, you're 3 (sometimes 4, depending on the weekend) cups of coffee deep, arrive at work, and are determined to get shiz done. You'll stop for the occasional "how was your weekend?" convo with that coworker you don't really like, yet tolerate, but nothing is stopping you from crossing that last thing off of your Kate Spade notepad of to-dos before 5PM rolls around.

Some of you are probably reading this saying "YEAH PRODUCTIVITY YEAH", others may be thinking "this girl is nuts. 4 cups of coffee? She must have downed like 14." For the latter, you may find the following helpful to tackle you're next Monday. You have a week to prepare, people!:
  • Pick out your clothes the night before. Seriously, one less stressor in the morning. It's so much easier to coordinate outfits when you aren't rushing around like a psycho trying to get to work on time. Without the stress, you won't misbutton your dress and realize half-way through the day. May or may not be speaking from experience (totally am).
  • Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier then you intend to. Give yourself enough time in the morning. Turn on GMA to watch while you enjoy those 3 cups of coffee.
  • EAT BREAKFAST (i.e.: smoothie & a granola bar, yogurt & a granola bar, oatmeal & a granola bar). To be perfectly honest, granola bars are the easiest grab and go breakfast items EVER. You're going to need something to soak up all of that coffee anyway, right?
  • Get to work earlier than the 9AM rush. 15 minutes earlier than everyone else = getting to LEAVE 15 minutes later than everyone else. 15 tiny minutes make a bigger difference than one might think. Except don't make the mistake of telling everyone that secret, or we'll have to get there 15 minutes earlier than the 15-minutes-earlier-than-9ers and honestly why make it worse for ourselves? It's bad enough we can't all sleep in until 10am.
Here's to Tuesday! 4 more days until the WEEKEND.
